MOON [mo:n] means poppy in Estonian.<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n

We love the image of this colourful bold flower. Quite an unusual name\u00a0 for a restaurant\u2026 Even more unexpected is the location \u2013 mentally very\u00a0far from fancy Old Town, at the same time so close to the sea and very\u00a0much in the centre.<\/p>\r\n

Now already ten years ago head chefs Roman and Igor decided to quit\u00a0their careers pursuing high end gastronomy goals and to go back to their culinary roots. Thus Restaurant Moon was born. One of our good friends said\u00a0after his first visit to Moon \u2013 \u201cYou have to look back in order to move forward!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

We try to be as down to earth as possible, which is often a bigger challenge than fine dining, as simple products demand\u00a0much more attention to be able to shine. Our food mantras \u2013 simple, honest,\u00a0local and sustainable \u2013\u00a0all presented to You in a Nordic style behind the hidden corner of the wooden Kalamaja suburb.<\/p>\r\n

In the kitchen You\u2019ll find renowned head chefs Roman Za\u0161t\u0161erinski ja Igor Andrejev, Jana Za\u0161t\u0161erinski the head of the restaurant creates a homely atmosphere and Mikk Parre the manager and sommelier warmly welcomes the guests\u00a0and is in charge of the winelist.<\/p>\r\n

Roman and Igor work hard in order to\u00a0give us an opportunity to enjoy pure, fresh and better everyday food. We hope that eating at Moon is like coming to our home. Each chef dreams\u00a0of his own restaurant, Moon is our dream come true.\u00a0At Moon everything is\u00a0 the way we like it \u2013 the food, the interior, the atmosphere.<\/p>\r\n
