Moon’s menu changes with the seasons. Each season brings new ingredients into the kitchen, but alongside them remain the dishes that brought guests back years ago and still bring them back today.
In summer, the menu is lighter, fresher and richer in vegetables. Seasonal herbs, fresh vegetables, strawberries, peaches, rhubarb and new potatoes give the season its character.
Moon’s classics are still on the menu: buckwheat blinis, pike fishcake, beef tartare, uhhaa fish soup, handmade Siberian dumplings, Chicken Kiev and Almost Pavlova for dessert. These dishes have been on Moon’s menu for years, changing only as much as the season allows.
One summer favourite is okroshka, a traditional chilled soup we make with beetroot, kefir, cucumber, radish, potato and horseradish. On a hot day, it is fresh, light and sustaining – as much a part of Eastern European summer cooking as gazpacho is on the Mediterranean coast.
The summer menu also includes burrata with marinated summer vegetables, a duck and peach salad, roasted new potatoes with chimichurri, and seasonal accompaniments to several of Moon’s classic main courses.

Desserts follow the season too. Strawberries, rhubarb and curd cheese are an inseparable part of an Estonian summer. They appear on the menu in Moon’s curd cheese cloud, a strawberry dessert, ice creams and sorbets.
At Moon, a season is more than just a new menu. It is an opportunity to bring new flavours alongside familiar dishes and make use of what the Estonian summer has to offer at that moment.
Moon’s summer menu brings together familiar classics and the best ingredients of the season. Every year, classic dishes gain new seasonal accompaniments, while fresh summer flavours join the menu – from okroshka and marinated vegetables to desserts with strawberries and rhubarb.
